Titi, wife of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that her husband would mentor his vice president in the intricacies of politics if he wins the 2027 presidential election.

She also disclosed that Atiku could hand over power to his deputy at the end of his tenure if elected president in 2027.

Atiku is set to contest the 2027 presidential election alongside former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as his running mate.

However, in a viral video, Titi described the former vice president as a highly marketable candidate who would work to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

She maintained that Nigerians would eventually demand that Atiku seek a second term if he emerges victorious in 2027.

She said: “Atiku is a sellable material, that’s why I’m so proud of my husband. Atiku is not going to learn on the job and he is not a novice. By the time Atiku gets to the saddle, Nigerians will yearn for him to run for a second term. But he said he would do just one term, but Nigerians will yearn for him to come for a second term.

“Atiku doesn’t want Nigerians’ money, he just wants to give back to the society what the society has done for him because many people keep saying, ‘What is he looking for? Very soon he will be 80,’ but he wants to tutor children on how politics is being made.”

The ADC presidential candidate’s wife also expressed concern over the state of Nigeria’s economy, claiming that the country has not operated any budget from 2023 to date.

“Today we have no rule of law, nothing is working, our economy is in shambles. Right from 2023 up to date, there is no budget in Nigeria and I wonder how people are living, I wonder how people are eating.

“By the grace of God, when Atiku comes to the saddle, like I told you, people will yearn that he does a second term. By then, he would have tutored his deputy and maybe the deputy will take over from him,” she added.
