Chelsea F.C. striker Nicolas Jackson has reportedly outlined a condition for remaining at the club under new manager Xabi Alonso.
Jackson is expected to return to Chelsea after spending the 2025/2026 season on loan at Bayern Munich.
The Senegal international had been a regular figure in Chelsea’s squad for two seasons after completing his move from Villarreal CF.
He scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues following his £32 million transfer to Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea approved his temporary move to the Bundesliga champions last summer after reportedly spending close to £100 million on the signings of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town F.C. and Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion F.C..
According to The Sun, Jackson is now seeking assurances from Alonso regarding his playing time and would only remain at Chelsea if he is considered a “first-choice” player by the club’s new head coach.
The report further claimed that Jackson is willing to continue at Chelsea, but only if he can reclaim a regular starting position next season.
Jackson scored 11 goals in 34 appearances during his loan spell at Bayern Munich, where he mainly served as backup to England striker Harry Kane.
