New Arsenal midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes, has disclosed the message he received from Declan Rice before completing his move to the club.

Guimaraes completed a £75 million transfer to Arsenal from Newcastle United.

The Brazilian midfielder had previously been involved in several fierce contests against some of his new teammates during his time in the Premier League.

However, Guimaraes is now excited about sharing the pitch with Rice and described Arsenal’s midfield as “one of the best” in Europe.

Speaking about the club’s midfield options, he said: “Very good, very good.

“[Declan] Rice sent me a message: ‘Come here and please no more fights, now we’re friends.’

“I was happy he messaged me, but the midfield we have here, in my point of view, is one of the best in Europe.

“Everyone is an amazing player. I’m so excited to start chatting and playing, and know the players very, very well, but we have an amazing midfield.”
