Three African nations have been knocked out of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup currently taking place in Poland.

Tanzania, Ghana and the Benin Republic are the three African teams that have exited the competition.

The three countries ended their respective group campaigns at the bottom of their groups after recording the lowest points.

Their elimination was confirmed following the completion of the final group-stage matches played over the weekend.

ZINGTIE reports that Nigeria emerged as the only African representative to progress beyond the group stage.

The Falconets secured their qualification after recording a commanding 10-1 victory over New Caledonia to finish second in Group F with four points.

Nigeria will next take on England in the Round of 16 on Thursday, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
