“Am I getting married?” Lady reacts as mum secretly organises party on her behalf

When a Nigerian woman’s mother secretly planned a surprise party, her call to bar celebration took an unexpected turn.

The mother had gone above and beyond to organize the celebration, sending out invitation cards with detailed dress code guidelines to a chosen set of visitors.

Social media users were in stitches when the woman, who goes by @temiladebello on X, posted a screenshot of her WhatsApp chat with her mother.

She questioned her mother’s choice to throw a party without telling her in the discussion.

“Why did you pick colour? I don’t understand. Am I getting married? Wahala,” she asked.

Her mother quickly defended herself by saying that she would be happy if her daughter was called to bar day.

“It’s my day of joy, so leave that one,” she replied.

According to the chat, her mother had ordered everyone attending the party to dress in white and lemon.

The woman was shocked by the ambitious ambitions while sharing the exchange online, saying:

“This call to bar party thing is getting out of hand man. White and lemon as how?(someone showed me the IV that was sent to her, I wasn’t even informed before she sent the IVs out).”
