The family of the late business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has confirmed that he will be laid to rest in Madina beside his wife, Rabi’a, who passed away in 2023, fulfilling his final request.

After his passing in Abu Dhabi on Friday night, a special funeral prayer was held in his honour in Kano on Saturday.

The Kano State branch of the Council of Ulama conducted the Salatul Ghaib, a prayer traditionally observed for a deceased person whose body is not present, as a mark of respect for the respected elder and humanitarian.

The gathering drew thousands of mourners from within and outside Kano.
