Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday visited the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, at his residence in Abuja.
Although details of the meeting were not immediately made public, the development may not be unconnected to the unfolding political events in Rivers State.
ZINGTIE reports that loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara seeking seats in the Rivers State House of Assembly were recently disqualified by the screening committee.
The development has signalled a renewed face-off between Fubara and Wike, his predecessor.
There are also speculations that the governor may be disqualified from seeking re-election under the APC.
Recall that Wike, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party but currently serves in the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had vowed that Fubara would not return.
