BREAKING: Bandits raid girls secondary school in Kebbi, kill vice principal, kidnap several students

After armed bandits invaded Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, GGCSS, Maga in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, killing the vice principal and kidnapping multiple students, panic spread throughout the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State.

Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, the vice principal, was killed in the late-night incident when he allegedly tried to protect the students from the assailants.

Since officials have not yet released formal information, it is still unknown how many pupils were abducted.

Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, a resident who verified the incident, claimed that the attackers entered the school without resistance, causing fear and trauma to the neighborhood.

“It is a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire region into deep fear and mourning,” she lamented.

The deceased vice principal was characterized by the locals as a committed teacher and guardian of the youngsters under his charge, and they have continued to pray for his rest.

Locals are calling for immediate action from state and federal authorities to rescue the kidnapped kids and stop additional violence in schools and vulnerable communities around the region, even though security services have not yet released a formal statement regarding the attack.
