The All Progressives Congress, APC, has elected Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as its new National Chairman. Yilwatda is the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.

During Thursday’s APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, Yilatda’s appointment was confirmed.

Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned last month due to health concerns, will be replaced by him.

After Ganduje resigned, Ali Bukar Dalori, the Deputy National Chairman (North), took over in an acting capacity.

Stakeholders had anticipated that NEC would approve Dalori’s position and provide him with a deadline to call an elected National Convention in order to select a permanent chairman.
