BREAKING: Rivers Sole Administrator accuses Fubara of looting N15 Billion, orders probe

President Bola Tinubu named Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) as Rivers State’s sole administrator, and he has accused suspended Governor Sim Fubara of embezzling N15 billion from the state’s finances.

Dr. George Nwaeke, the recently retired former Head of Service, is being investigated to ascertain his involvement in the purported money embezzlement.

Although specifics of the alleged looting are yet unknown, sources speculate that the investigation might be a calculated attempt to keep Governor Fubara embroiled in legal disputes until his term officially ends in 2027.

Whether Nwaeke’s role in the matter is being investigated by the Department of State Services (DSS) or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has not yet been established.
