Closed-door meeting sparks speculation as key political figures meet

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.

The meeting is being held at the Oyo State Government House.

Obi arrived at the meeting accompanied by some Igbo elders, members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), senators from the South-East, and his political associates.

Although he has not yet spoken to the press, the meeting may be connected to his presidential ambition.

This development comes less than 24 hours after the former governor of Anambra State held a meeting with former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan.

Obi has continued consultations with political leaders across the country ahead of the ADC primary election.
