Four people have died as a result of a horrific traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday at 2:00 PM along Okposi-Amasiri Road, involving a group of corps members from 2024 Batch C Stream 2 who were travelling to an orientation camp in the Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to information obtained by ZINGTIE, an Enugu North Mass Transit crashed into a stalled vehicle in the Okposi axis of Ohaozara LGA, killing several and injuring others.
According to a statement released late Thursday night by David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital in Uburu, the disaster has claimed four lives.
Two victims passed away from their wounds after at least thirteen were taken to the hospital.
Others were admitted to the accident and emergency ward, and two were sent to the surgery ward.
The driver suffered serious cervical injuries, but one corps member managed to escape unharmed.
According to reports, the survivors are recovering, and hospital officials are optimistic about their prospects of fully recovering.
