The Kano State High Court, presided over by Justice Suleiman Baba Na Mallam, has fixed October 13 and 14, 2026, for the arraignment and commencement of hearing in the case involving Kamal Abdulmumini, a teacher at Alhadid Nursery and Primary School accused of raping four twin sisters in his office.
At the resumed sitting on Tuesday, the defence counsel, Barrister Nasir Abdurrahman, requested access to relevant facilities and case documents to adequately prepare his client’s defence.
Justice Na Mallam subsequently directed the prosecution to make available all necessary materials relating to the matter to the defendant.
Abdulmumini, who resides in the Yar Adua Quarters, is accused of sexually assaulting the four underage sisters on separate occasions in his office at Alhadid Model College, located in Inusawa Quarters, Ungogo Local Government Area.
The prosecution counsel, Barrister Abdullahi Muhammad, Director of Public Prosecutions at the Kano State Ministry of Justice, informed the court that five witnesses had been assembled and were ready to testify against the defendant.
Speaking after the court proceedings, the defence counsel, Barrister Nasir Abdurrahman, declined to make any comments to journalists.
