Davido fires strong warning at Oyetola ahead of Osun governorship election

Famous Nigerian singer, Davido, has called out the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, over an alleged political plan.

Davido made the remarks in the early hours of Tuesday on X, describing the alleged plan as “very embarrassing”.

The singer, who tagged Oyetola, described the former governor of Osun State as the “most desperate politician,” insisting that his alleged plan had failed.

Davido wrote “The most desperate politician in the world is @GboyegaOyetola very embarrassing. Oyetola your plan no go work.”

While the singer did not provide details about the alleged plan, ZINGTIE reports that the development is coming amid rising political tension in Osun State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

ZINGTIE reports that Davido had, two weeks ago, announced the suspension of his music career for two months in order to actively campaign for the re-election of his uncle and Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke.
