Fresh Clarification Emerges Over Viral Death Rumour Involving Popular Content Creators

Nigerian content creator, Officer Woos, has denied claims that he announced the death of his colleague, Broda Shaggy.

Reporters reported that an X user, @Ghost91on, had two days earlier alleged that Officer Woos, a close associate of Broda Shaggy, announced his passing via an Instagram post.

@Ghost91on wrote while sharing Broda Shaggy’s image: “Officer woos just announced the passed away of his brother broda shaggi vis his ig page. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Responding to the viral claim, Officer Woos shared a screenshot of the post on his Instagram story and simply wrote “false.”

In a separate statement issued by Versed Attorneys, his legal representatives, the content creator strongly denied the allegation.

“We act as Solicitors to Mr. Jubril bril Oladapo Gbadamosi alias “Officer Woos” (“our Client”), a respected content creator and public figure, and write this statement in response to false and malicious publications currently circulating on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter).

“It has come to Client’s attention that certain unverified and anonymous social media pages have published claim alleging that our Client publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.

“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to misinform the public,” it stated.

The content creator also reportedly threatened legal action against individuals responsible for spreading the false claims.

Reports that speculation surrounding Broda Shaggy’s death resurfaced three months after he was reportedly shot while filming at the Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026.

Since the incident, Broda Shaggy has not publicly addressed the situation.
