Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is currently in power.

He personally signed a statement that said this.

Through the party chairman in Bangshika Ward, Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State, he submitted his resignation.

He promised to reveal his present political affiliation when the time was right.

“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“In due course, I will make public my current political affiliation, where I plan to join compatriots to work towards making Nigeria a better living place for all citizens. This resignation takes immediate effect.

“Please remain blessed and extend my warm regards to members of your party,” he said.

According to ZINGTIE, during the first term of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Babachir Lawal served as SGF.
