I’m Ronke, and Kunle and I have been wed for six years.

We believed we had a 5-year-old son named Damilare.

It all began when I came upon a TikTok video featuring couples using DNA kits “just for fun” at home.

I ordered one and persuaded my spouse to test it with me because I didn’t think much of it.

We waited for the findings while laughing and swabbing.

Our world fell apart two weeks later.

When I received the email, I felt my heart stop when I read it: “No biological relationship detected between the alleged father and the child.”

I thought we could have done the test incorrectly, so I showed it to Kunle.

However, Kunle remained silent. He simply left the room after staring at me.

That evening, he did not return.

I felt bewildered, afraid, and heartbroken.

I scratched my head, trying to figure out how this could be.

I had never been unfaithful. I had no doubt about it.

The hospital struck me then.
I recalled the day of my birth.

My daughter had been taken away by the nurses for hours because of “complications.”

Is it possible?

I dug. I called the hospital. After weeks of back-and-forth, a former nurse eventually told me what no one else would. A baby had gotten mixed up.
