After terrorists set off an improvised explosive device (IED) on Luma Road in Niger State’s Borgu Local Government Area, eight individuals have been confirmed dead.

Reports indicate that the explosive hit a moving vehicle on Monday.

It has also been reported that the terrorists destroyed a bridge connecting the three communities of Luma, Babanna, and Agwara.

The bridge is an essential path for locals, especially merchants and those commuting to the Babanna border market, which operates every Monday.

Another explosion took place on Monday in Woro, within the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, and it is feared that multiple individuals were killed.
