The Miyetti Allah livestock Breeders Association’s previous livestock movement permission to transport animals around the state has been revoked by the Cross River State Government.

The group was able to transport its livestock from Ebonyi State to Cameroon via Cross River thanks to the permit.

A statement signed by Hon. Emmanuel Anom, the Commissioner for Livestock, Aquaculture, and Fisheries Development, contained the revocation and was made accessible to reporters on Sunday.

Anom claims that the cancellation supersedes the permit that was previously granted.

“The Commissioner, on behalf of the Cross River State Government, hereby announces the cancellation of the movement permit earlier issued to the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders for the movement of their cattle from Ebonyi State, across Cross River State, to Cameroon,” the commissioner said.

He said, “This cancellation supersedes the previously issued permit. All security agencies are hereby directed to be vigilant and prevent any such movement through Cross River State.”
