JUST IN: Buhari Muhammad, five others arrested in Abuja hotel

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police have detained five further members of the Abuja network, one Buhari Muhammad, and suspected notorious kidnappers.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, provided ZINGTIE with a statement on Monday stating that the suspects had been taken into custody in a hotel located in the capital’s Bassa hamlet.

The statement names Muhammad Sabiu, a wanted kidnapping kingpin, Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa, Fatima Abdullahi, and Zuliat Yusuf as the other five suspects.

She claimed that Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze, who was shot during the kidnapping, was taken hostage by the notorious kidnapping syndicate.

According to ZINGTIE, Joshua was abducted on January 27, 2024, but after a day, command police personnel found him unharmed.

The PPRO attested to the fact that the arrest was carried out by command personnel assigned to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, which is tasked with combating criminal activity within the region.

She claims that the suspects had one AK-47 gun, ten mobile phones, N345,000 in cash, and other items taken from them.
