The US president, Donald Trump, has given credit to his 18-year-old son, Baron Trump, for motivating him to participate in podcasts, which helped him garner a significant number of votes.
Trump mentioned Baron’s presence in his inaugural speech yesterday after taking the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States, as shown in a post on X on Tuesday.
He remembered how, in an attempt to gain the support of the young people, the teenager pushed him to go on a podcast.
“I have a very tall son named Baron. Has anyone ever heard of him? He knew the youths votes. You know we won the youths vote by 36 points. He said get on Daddy you gat to go out there and do this. We did a lot of them and they respect him.
“He understood a lot of them. He said Dad you gat to go out to Joe Rogers and all these guys. We did it.” an elated Trump said to the crowd who cheered Baron.
Recall that the Republican defeated Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president and former vice president, in the last year’s presidential election
After being defeated by Joe Biden in 2020, Trump’s triumph over Harris signalled a historic return to the White House.
