In Benin City, a man only known as Esosa Imasuen is said to have murdered his wife, Chinwedu Nnadozie.

According to information obtained by ZINGTIE, the event took place on Oza Street in the Ogbelaka area of the state capital’s Sakponba road axis.

After a miscommunication, it was learned that the man had beaten and injured the mother of three children.

According to a person close to the family, she was taken to the hospital right after for treatment after the doctor determined that the beating had caused internal bleeding.

Regarding the event, Everistus Nnadoze’s father said he received a call informing him that his son-in-law, Esosa Imasuen, had severely injured his daughter by beating her.

“They said he took her to the hospital where a doctor was said to have carried out some tests on her, and the result showed that she has internal bleeding”, he said.

He added that he was unable to see her corpse and that she later surrendered the spirit at the hospital before he could get to her.

They claimed that Imasuen alone transported her body to an undisclosed mortuary. ”I went to his house, they said he had absconded”.

He claimed that despite his repeated calls, his son-in-law has not been up to show him the mortuary where his daughter’s body is kept.

The spokesperson for the Edo command stated that he had been in touch with numerous Benin police stations, but none of them had received such a report.
