Mercy Chinwo holds free concert in Lagos to celebrate Easter

To celebrate this year’s Easter, Nigerian gospel artist Mercy Chinwo will perform live for the first time in Lagos.

It has been verified that the public is welcome to attend the free concert with the theme “Overwhelming Joy.” It is scheduled to take place at Eko Hotels and Suites on March 29, 2024.

According to a statement released by Mercy Chinwo’s record label, Grace and Truth Nation, GNT, she will release her 12-track album, “Overwhelming Victory,” which she recorded while pregnant.

Romans 8:37 is the verse that the singer claimed served as the inspiration for her latest album.

She said, “Overwhelming Victory embodies the spiritual victory which we possess through Christ’s love. The album, through songs like ‘Father Eh’, and ‘My Lover’, showcases various aspects of this victory, faithfulness, might, joy and reassurance in our faith journey. It’s created to uplift, inspire and affirm the listeners’ faith, offering spiritual insight and encouragement.

“Overwhelming Victory marks a new chapter in my personal and artistic journey. The creative process involved international focus, late nights and a deeper commitment to sharing my faith journey.”
