Samson Oghenebreme, 25, was taken into custody by the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian police for possessing human organs in the Odomola village of Epe.
After receiving a tip from watchful community members, the individual was taken into custody by officers from the Odo-Noforija Police Division, according to Channels Television.
The suspicious movements of the suspect were reported to the police by the community.
The police claim that the defendant was transporting the human parts to Edo State so that a local physician might utilize them in claimed money-making ceremonies.
The Lagos Command Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced this in a statement on Friday.
For preservation, the retrieved human organs have been placed at the General Hospital in Epe.
The Edo State Police Command has been given the case to continue its investigation and prosecution in the interim.
Olohundare Jimoh, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, reassured the public, however, that the Command is still totally dedicated to protecting people’s lives and property throughout the state.
