NAHCON, the National Hajj Commission, has released the final fare 2024.

Intentional pilgrims from Nigeria’s southern center must pay N4,899,000 for their Hajj journey, while those from the northern center must pay N4,699,000, according to Commission Chairman Malam Jalal Arabi.

Yola and Maiduguri center residents, meanwhile, will have to pay N4,679,000.

Fatima Sanda Usara, the deputy director of public affairs, recollected that the NAHCON chairman had initially intended to keep the 2024 Hajj fare at N4.5 million.

“The prospects had remained high until the well-known Naira crash that occurred mid-week.

“Regrettably, the recent instability in the Dollar exchange rate compelled a necessary adjustment despite commendable efforts by NAHCON Chairman, Jalal Ahmad Arabi to maintain the cost of the year’s Hajj at the said rate,” she said.

Regardless of the difficulties brought on by foreign exchange issues, NAHCON reassured the public that it is dedicated to ensuring every participant has a thriving and seamless Hajj trip.

The Muslim community in Nigeria provided cooperation and understanding, which the Commission welcomed.
