A Nigerian woman who relocated to the UK to live with her white husband has talked about her traumatic experience of alleged abuse.

She claims that because he verbally attacked her and called her derogatory names like “bitch,” “animal,” “fat,” and “Nigerian scammer,” their relationship swiftly deteriorated.

Two months after moving, she recalled, he physically attacked her, repeatedly striking her in the face and strangling her, leaving her afraid for her life.

The woman further disclosed that even after her father passed away, the abuse persisted. Rather than providing her with assistance, he disparaged her by claiming that his kids were “smarter than her.”

She revealed that two weeks after she made the decision to leave their house, he filed for divorce. She was relieved to be happier and out of the harmful surroundings, despite the hardship.
