Ogun: Woman fakes own kidnap after suffering miscarriage

Rahemat Lateef, a pregnant lady who was en route to the State General Hospital in Ijaiye, Abeokuta, when she was reported missing and scheduled for delivery, has been located.

Though it was thought that Rahemat had been abducted, she had run away to Kwara State to escape her husband’s wrath following a miscarriage.

ZINGTIE deduced that Rahemat had made up the kidnapping scenario out of frustration over her recurring miscarriages.

Ogunbunmi Lateef, her husband, claimed to have received a WhatsApp message alerting him to his wife’s kidnapping by unidentified individuals.

Rahemat was discovered in Kwara State with her father, according to a Monday update by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Omolola Odutola.

She announced that the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command had begun tracking her until she reappeared.
