One of the church’s pastors allegedly stole $8,000, left his wife, and remarried in the United States, according to Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

During her ministry at a church-sponsored men’s program, Pastor Folu revealed the information.

Since then, a video of Pastor Adeboye’s wife narrating the event has gone viral.

She said the preacher had been stationed in Cape Town, South Africa, and was originally from Ekiti State.

The $8,000 in question was meant to help the church purchase a permanent location.

Concerned for the pastor’s abandoned wife, Pastor Adeboye narrated the incident: “The woman she abandoned in South Africa is presently in a terrible state now, almost running mad.”

She continued with a stern charge to the men of the church: “RCCG men, what are we going to do? Are we going to continue with such a lying spirit, a deceitful spirit to the God of the kingdom?”
