Hollywood has made the official announcement of this year’s Academy Award nominations, honoring the most lauded films and performances from the past year, with one title setting new records.
Sinners is at the forefront, having garnered an unprecedented 16 nominations that exceed the long-established record shared by All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016).
This accomplishment secures Sinners’ status as the leading power in this awards season.
One Battle After Another follows closely with 13 nominations, while each of Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, and Sentimental Value received nine nods.
With eight nominations, Hamnet also performed strongly.
The 97th Academy Awards are set for March 15, with U.S. comedian Conan O’Brien hosting the glamorous affair.
