Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé is reportedly opposed to the idea of the club appointing former Liverpool FC manager Jürgen Klopp as their next head coach.
Instead, the France captain is said to be backing his compatriot Zinedine Zidane to return for a third spell in charge.
It will be recalled that Real Madrid parted ways with Xabi Alonso in January and subsequently appointed Álvaro Arbeloa.
With the club currently facing the prospect of ending the season without a trophy, Arbeloa is expected to depart in the summer, prompting the search for a new manager, with Klopp emerging as a potential candidate.
However, according to Football365, as cited by Sportskeeda, Mbappé is not convinced about the possibility of appointing the German tactician.
He is reportedly more inclined toward Zidane, who has previously managed Real Madrid in two separate tenures.
Meanwhile, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Klopp is being considered by the Spanish club, although discussions have not advanced significantly.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano indicated that the situation is still at an early stage, adding that it is not yet “concrete.”
