Rivers LG Polls: RSIEC concludes second training for collation officers

In preparation for the state’s August 30 local government election, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, or RSIEC, has completed the second round of training for 319 Ward Collation and Returning Officers.

According to a statement from Michael Ekpali Odey, the Chairman and Chief Electoral Officer, the second phase of training was in keeping with the Commission’s commitment to enhancing the professionalism, competence, and capability of its election day ad hoc staff.

Odey clarified that he oversaw the second round of training for the 319 Ward Collation and Returning Officers, which was held at the RSIEC headquarters in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
