Lagos residents were astonished when emergency responders executed a jaw-dropping rescue that seemed like something from a movie. An 84-year-old man was dramatically rescued after falling into a deep well in the Aboru area of the city.
Emergency officials reported that a panic call was received shortly after 10 a.m., notifying them of a critical situation at a residential compound on Fadeyemi Street. In just a few minutes, firefighters and rescue officers sped to the scene, collaborating with a nearby station to organize the perilous mission.
Many were shocked by the well’s estimated depth of about 140 feet. The elderly man was brought out alive against all odds, sending waves of relief throughout the neighborhood.
Officials disclosed that initial results caused worries, since the well was said to be properly secured, leading to subdued inquiries about how the event occurred at all. The inquiry continues, and the man who was rescued has been transferred to his family for immediate care.
Emergency officials seized the moment to remind residents that assistance is always accessible and encouraged anyone experiencing distress to seek help instead of enduring it quietly.
The thrilling rescue, recorded on video, has sparked a social media frenzy — with numerous people labeling it a miracle.
