A young wealthy businessman and co-owner of Icon apparel brand, Ruben Onuha has aroused tremendous reactions online after boldly proclaiming that he will never buy his father a house because he does not deserve it.

The 23-year-old businessman outlined his motivations in a widely shared interview, which sparked a contentious discussion among online users.

Ruben disclosed during the most recent session that he is able to purchase modest items for his father, such as meals, clothing, and airline tickets, but he is never able to purchase large items, such as a home.

He remarked that he could buy a house for his mother, even though he did not think she would want one.

He stated, “I will not buy my dad a house, I can give him everything clothes, traveling tickets, rent things for him but I will never buy things for him that he never deserve. I never got anything from him when I was young. The world does not work like that. Normal things of course I don’t mind. Such big things, I think you only need to give things like that to people that deserve it. Maybe something like that I can buy for my mum but I think she does not even want it.”
