VIDEO: Lady breaks silence on alleged night-time sexual abuse by elderly neighbor

On TikTok, a Nigerian woman has come forward to describe her unsettling nighttime experience of being sexually abused by her elderly neighbor.

She describes the incident in the video post and advises women who live alone to be on guard and shield themselves from harassment.

She notes that she and this specific senior neighbor have a friendly relationship and frequently engage in informal talks without any problems.

However, she recounts how the neighbor unexpectedly approached her as she entered her house one evening after she had returned from charging her devices because of a power outage.

She felt uneasy when the neighbor touched her shoulder and started acting strangely.

He pleaded with her to let him sleep in her room as she attempted to enter it.

She sent warning to other women: “If you’re a young lady going through life alone, don’t allow anything to happen to you. You’re still going to be blamed for it.”

She detailed the night, saying, “Two nights ago, we had no light throughout, so I went out to charge my phone. I returned around 10 p.m. and entered my gated compound with my key.”

“As I was opening my door, the neighbor, who probably waited for me to come back, suddenly appeared. We talked briefly, but then he touched my shoulder and got closer, begging to sleep in my room. When I opened the door, he grabbed the door handle and I had to beg him to leave.”
