VIDEO: Nigerian woman shocked by threatening messages from Indrive driver after ride cancellation

A Nigerian woman has described her frightening encounter with an indrive driver who threatened her after she canceled her journey because she had given the wrong address. Online criticism and alarm have been triggered by the incident, which was captured in a TikTok video.

The woman in the video clarified that she had reserved a ride with the indrive driver but had to cancel the trip after discovering the incorrect address. The driver’s reaction, though, was unexpected.

The driver in a troubling message full of cryptic prayers, accusing her of wasting his time and fuel, saying: “You wasted my fuel and my time. Pray for you this morning, almighty God will waste your time and resources. Your own mother will cry over you, you will be a wasted product, everything will work against you, and you will never end well in the mighty name of Jesus… Amen.”

The woman retaliated with insults, which only made things more tense. The driver then responded with a message that was much more terrifying:Quotation

“Mark this, you will surely be used for ritual, and you will always be involved in a case that will send you to an early grave. Goodness and mercy will never locate you, so shall it be… Amen.

The unsettling conversation swiftly went viral online, with many users voicing their dismay and contempt in the comments area. Many prayed for justice and denounced the driver’s menacing remarks. Serious questions have been raised by the occurrence regarding both the professionalism of ride-hailing drivers and passenger safety.
