On X (previously Twitter), a Nigerian man is advising men to put their health first, stressing the value of treating their mental, physical, and emotional well-being with seriousness.

He described how his friend struggled through a difficult time in life, which ultimately led to his death, in a tweet that has now gone viral.

“My guy was going through a hard time. He was broke, and things were really bad. His wife and kid left him. He became depressed, got high blood pressure, and then other sicknesses followed. Now he’s dead, we just buried him. His wife will move on with her life.”

He concluded with a firm warning: “Don’t let any woman gaslight you. Take care of yourself first.”

Online discussions have been triggered by the post, with other individuals recounting comparable experiences and warning males that keeping things to yourself while attempting to be “strong” for everyone can have severe repercussions.
