A recent kidnap victim along the Abuja–Kaduna expressway has come forward with unsettling details of her nine-day ordeal, according to a terrifying account published by Punch.

Seyi, the victim, disclosed that she and the other kidnappees had been put through medical testing and had seen horrifying murders. This raised suspicions that what seemed to be a routine kidnapping case might actually have been a cover for a more serious organ trafficking scheme.

Seyi described how armed bandits ambushed their car while she and ten other people were on their way to Kaduna and forcibly captured them.

The victims were herded far into a wilderness, where their misery truly began. “Do you know we were tested for HIV and hepatitis?” she said. — a disturbing discovery that suggests deliberate medical screening that goes well beyond what is usually observed in kidnappings carried out for ransom.

Seyi claimed that she was detained in appalling and humiliating conditions as her hands and legs were shackled during her terrible ordeal in the wilderness.

The subsequent methodical testing and selecting procedure, however, was what most unnerved her. She claimed that the bandits engaged in a far more sinister trade—the illicit collection of human organs—in addition to kidnapping.

Still traumatized, she recalled, “They killed five people right in front of me.” She clarified that only six of the eleven abductees were ultimately freed following medical examinations.

Her statements strongly suggested that those who failed the health exams may have been targeted for something considerably wor chier than extortion.

“If this was just about ransom, why all those tests? I’ve kept quiet until now, but what I witnessed wasn’t an ordinary kidnapping. It wasn’t for ritual. These were organised organ traffickers,” she said.
