Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, have taken the oath of office for a new four-year tenure.
State residents and dignitaries were present when Olusegun Odusola, the Chief Justice of the state, gave the oath to Aiyedatiwa and Adelami.
The top two citizens pledged to respect the constitution, operate within its bounds, and protect the welfare of the state’s citizens as they took the oath of office.
With the inauguration, Ondo State’s new government officially begins operations.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State; Abiodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti; Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the interior minister; and Ayo Olawande, the youth development minister, were among those in attendance at the oath-taking ceremony.
