Following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the State’s substantive Executive Governor.

The oath of office was administered in the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure by State Chief Judge Justice Olusegun Odosola.

Politicians, government representatives, and the State’s top judges were present to observe the swearing-in ceremony.

Aiyedatiwa has arrived at the Governor’s office in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, for his swearing-in ceremony, according to a previous report from Zingtie.

Remember that Akeredolu died in the early hours of Wednesday in Germany at the age of 67 due to a protracted case of leukaemia.

Aiyedatiwa took over as Governor on December 12 after the late Governor took yet another medical leave of absence.
