Why Does Govt Allow People Like Gumi To Be Walking Freely When All They Do Is Cause Pain- Dokubo

Nigerian politician, Hilda Dokubo has taken to her official X account on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 to inquire why it’s difficult for the Federal Government to arrest Islamic preacher, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.

This followed after Sheikh Ahmad Gumi told how he went to the forest to preach to some terrorists.

According to PUNCH, Gumi said that;

“I was at Sabon Garin Yadi forest, accompanied by the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police. This meeting was part of a peace initiative where we preached to over 600 bandits and their commanders who agreed to lay down their arms in exchange for security and basic amenities”.

Reacting, Hilda Dokubo stated that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi should be arrested because all he does is to cause the people pain. Hilda Dokubo said that Sheikh Gumi has been defending evil yet the government has not done anything.

“Why does the Nigerian system allow people like Sheikh Gumi to be walking around freely when all they do is cause people to live in pain? The state of insecurity in Nigeria; our Country of Particular Concern has turned most people paranoid”.
