2027: Details emerge as Atiku visits Jonathan in Abuja

On Saturday, former vice president Atiku Abubakar paid former president Goodluck Jonathan a visit at his Abuja home.

It is thought that Atiku and the previous president met as part of pre-election negotiations in 2027.

Posting on his verified Facebook page, Atiku wrote: “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.”

The former vice president just became an official member of the African Democratic Congress, or ADC.

After resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) due to allegations that the party had strayed from the ideals of its founders, Atiku formally joined the ADC.

There are signs that Atiku could be the ADC’s 2027 presidential contender.
