Following the discovery that Mr. Ibu had a condition affecting the arteries in his ankle that necessitated seven successful surgeries, including one that included amputation, the statement was made.

According to Chochoo, Mr. Ibu’s long-time manager, the actor is getting better every day and reacting well to treatment.

Chochoo claims that because of Mr. Ibu’s condition, one of his ankle arteries was damaged, necessitating amputation.

He claims that the disease was not identified until it had progressed to a point where it was necessary to amputate the limb, which was a painful decision.

“The doctors are treating everything one after the other. What led to the amputation of one of his legs was an infection that affected one of the arteries at the ankle.

“Blood wasn’t flowing into the leg, which was not detected on time. When it was, it had become too late, causing the doctors to decide on the amputation,” He said.

He went on to say that plans are underway to take Mr. Ibu abroad for further care, even though he is still receiving treatment in Nigeria after the surgery.

“The surgery was done in Nigeria. He will soon be flown out of the country for further treatment but for now, he is being cared for in Nigeria, ” Chochoo added.
