Social media users have taken notice of a young woman’s inspirational path to freedom after she posted a video on TikTok.
She had put a lot of effort into setting up her gorgeously furnished apartment after leaving her family home, as seen in the video.
The young woman, who goes by @waithirabecky on TikTok, acknowledged that her life was a dream come true and thanked God for it.
Users who appreciated her perseverance and diligence showered her video with support.
In the video, @waithirabecky looked back on the previous eight months, when she had made significant progress toward independence.
In her words: “Exactly 8 months since I moved out and started living alone. Blessed and favored. I once dreamt of the life I have right now. I am so grateful for my house, my job and everything I have right now. If you want me to plug you on anything please comment down below and I’ll do that.”
One Nigerian woman, Sonia Iwuchukwu, commented on the news and defended her choice, saying that living alone was one of the nicest things she had ever done.
In her words: “Honestly staying her by myself and taking care of myself was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I think every person needs to be independent for a while.”
In response to the video, TikTok users flooded the comments area.
