Students at DePaul University’s Lincoln Park campus are on high alert following a disturbing incident on Saturday night. According to authorities, a male suspect allegedly shoved a woman and chased several others, causing widespread concern among the university community.

The suspect’s actions prompted three individuals to report him as suspicious in the vicinity of Belden and Fremont on campus around the same time. Authorities stated that the suspect chased two women, causing them to flee for safety into the McCabe Hall residence
In a separate incident, the suspect allegedly pushed another woman under the CTA tracks behind Wish Field and Cacciatore Stadium. Fortunately, details on the victim’s condition are not provided.

The suspect was described as a male with a dark complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with distinctive long dreadlocks. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark green sweatshirt and black pants.
University officials are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure student safety. Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect is urged to contact Chicago police or DePaul Public Safety at 773-325-7777 on the Lincoln Park campus.
