After being allegedly abused by her husband, an Islamic cleric, over ₦800, an Alhaja, who was purportedly suffering from a stroke, broke down in tears.

This was disclosed in a post on X (previously Twitter) that featured a video of the woman’s swollen and bruised face, which was purportedly brought on by her husband.

The caption claims that ₦800 was the catalyst for the altercation.

The Alhaja describes the situation in the video: “At midnight, he wanted to get intimate with me, but I told him I was tired. After that, I asked for food money, and he refused. I opened his bag to check for money and found ₦800 inside. He immediately bent my arm, started beating me, and hit me in the eyes with his head.”

Several voices can be heard throughout the film, denouncing the man’s behavior, expressing concern for the woman’s continued abuse, and advising her to leave the marriage.
