Former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves praised Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha after the team’s dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The retired England international compared the Portuguese midfielder’s style of play to that of Real Madrid star Luka Modric.
Vitinha delivered an impressive performance as PSG secured their win in Munich, with goals from Desire Doue (two), Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu contributing to the scoreline.
After the match, Hargreaves told TNT Sports that Vitinha was effortlessly controlling the midfield and outplaying Inter’s players.
The former Manchester City midfielder said: “Vitinha plays like Luka Modrić, just jinxing past people, impossible to play against.
“You know who he reminds me of? Luka Modrić, and you could not make him any bigger compliment in the world, because he’s been one of the greatest.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard also spoke highly of Vitinha after the game.
