Edwin van der Sar, former goalkeeper for Manchester United, has tipped his old team to claim the Premier League title in the upcoming season.

The Dutchman, who enjoyed a successful stint at Old Trafford, expressed confidence that United would outperform top sides like Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool to secure the championship.

Although he didn’t provide a detailed rationale for his prediction, Van der Sar firmly stated that the moment had come for United to rise to the top.

During a conversation with LiveScore TBRFootball, Van der Sar was asked to name his top pick for next season’s league winner. Surprisingly, he dismissed the chances of City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, choosing instead to back his former club.

His bold call came as a surprise to many, especially given United’s recent struggles.

Asked about who he sees lifting the trophy, he simply said: “Manchester United.”

Earlier, Van der Sar had also shared his thoughts on United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, encouraging the club to show continued support for him.

Last season was a difficult one for Manchester United, as they finished in 15th place in the league standings.

Despite their domestic struggles, they managed to reach the Europa League final, only to suffer defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
