Afrobeats sensation Davido recently sparked reactions after saying that his wife would “kill him” if he agreed to follow another woman on Instagram.
The singer made the remark while performing in the U.S. as part of his ongoing 5ive Tour.
In a viral video circulating on social media, a female fan—clad in a revealing outfit—asked Davido if he could follow her on Instagram.
In response, Davido politely declined, joking that he only follows one person—his wife, Chioma.
His witty reply triggered laughter and cheers from the audience.
The lady asked: “Can you follow me on Instagram?”
The singer replied: “No, my wife will kill me. I can’t follow anyone, I only follow my wife”.
In June 2024, Davido tied the knot with Chioma in an elaborate wedding ceremony held in Lagos.
