Wisdom shared his ambition to break the record in an interview, stating, “While I was little, my aunt bought the 1999 Guinness Book of Records…” I noticed that in the book, Nigeria was just there for having the most detainees without any proper trial in prison. That was the only reason Nigeria was in the Guinness Book of Records in 1999.” He added, “So, I told God that when I turned 20, I was going to break a record. No matter how small it is, I’m going to try my best to break a record.”

The aspiring record-breaker plans to wear 600 lanyards to surpass the current record. Although he initially hoped to achieve this feat in June, academic demands and financial constraints delayed his plans.

The record attempt, scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan, is being sponsored by Wisdom in partnership with his faculty. When asked about the logistics, Wisdom explained, “The record attempt is being sponsored by me in partnership with my faculty, Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan.”

Wisdom’s determination to make Nigeria proud and his passion for record-breaking are truly inspiring. Will he succeed in breaking the record? Only time will tell
