Hundreds of thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in Kebbi State’s Lega Local Government Area have abandoned the party.

APC supporters joined the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, in a massive defection event staged over the weekend.

According to the ADC mobilization X handle, there were over 120,000 defectors.

Abubakar Malami, the embattled Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation from Kebbi State, has been courting politicians for his opposition party.

The former Minister, who is currently arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, was one of the opposition figures who chose ADC as their platform for the 2027 general elections.

The party has received a large number of defectors around the country.
